In connection with a major internal renovation of the Riddarhuset's interior, Zenita was entrusted with becoming a turnkey supplier of security systems to Riddarhuset. The mission included the replacement and upgrade of fire alarms, burglar alarms, access systems, CCTV systems as well as gate telephones. The contract ran from November 2023 until the end of December 2024 and was carried out together with Rosersbergs Byggnads AB, which was the General Contractor for the palace renovation.
During the construction, Zenita provided fire protection to the premises, in the parts where the existing fire alarm was dismantled, with wireless detectors and alarm devices.
Zenita delivered a brand new addressable fire alarm and escape alarm, which was partly carried out with wireless detectors and alarm devices, as the premises are sensitive and culturally protected.
A completely new integrated security system replaced the existing burglar alarm and access system.
Existing gate telephones were replaced with an IP-based system connected to the Riddarhuset switchboard. In order to achieve a smart and aesthetic solution as possible, both card readers (access systems) and gate telephony were built into the information board that was set up at the main entrance.
The CCTV system was upgraded to the latest software version which was installed to a new server and all existing cameras were replaced with new ones as well as being supplemented with additional cameras.
“Zenita has skillfully and sensitively solved Riddarhuset's need for a modernized security system regarding both shell protection and fire alarms. Their technician have been of a very high standard, and I can warmly recommend Zenita as a provider of comprehensive solutions for increased safety.” says Erik Drakenberg, Riddarhus secretary at Riddarhuset.
“We feel very proud to have been trusted to participate in this project, which has placed great demands on both delivery precision, high technical know-how and, not least, the sense of fingertips that are always required when working in sensitive buildings belonging to our cultural heritage,” says Stellan Johansson, Zenita's responsible project manager.
