Rules when installing alarm systems for weapons storage

When it comes to the installation of alarm systems for weapons storage, there are special rules that apply in addition to those imposed on the construction company that carries out the installation itself and the requirements that apply according to the standards of the SBSC. An alarm installation in a weapons bunker, gun cabinet or caisson shall be carried out in accordance with Regulations and general advice of the National Police Board on the storage of firearms by arms dealers and certain associations (RPFSF 2005:4 FAP 556-2). This means, for example, that the installation certificate must not be issued in alarm class 3 according to SSF 130:8 but in SSF 130:6. The requirements regarding the scope and performance of alarm installations in vaults or cabinets (weapon storage space) are significantly higher than those set for alarm class 3 according to SSF 130.

We have carried out several alarm installations

Since Zenita has been involved since the regulations of the National Police Board came into force and has an ongoing dialogue with the authors of the regulations and has installed a larger number of alarm systems for storing firearms around the country, we can say without exaggeration that we have extensive experience with this type of installation and have what is required for the Police to approve the installation. Zenita is a Certified Civil Engineering Company - burglar alarms up to alarm class 4 according to SSF 1015.
