Burglar alarm installed at arms dealer Walter Borg

In connection with the redevelopment of the store in Stockholm, we have installed class 3 alarms at Walter Borg. The installation has been made in accordance with the National Police Board's regulations and general advice on the storage of firearms by arms dealers and certain associations (RPFSF 2005:4 FAP 556-2).

“Zenita has been very professional and courteous throughout the work, I can warmly recommend Zenita.”

Ulrika Borg - Walter Borg AB Hunting and Leisure

“This was an interesting project with multiple gun vaults, ammunition storages and alarm class 3 alarms throughout the store, with the installation being carried out in stages during ongoing redevelopment and expansion. Unfortunately, we also suffered water damage in the property in the middle of the renovations, which caused it for both the builder and us. However, through close contacts with both Walter Borg and the builder, we adapted to the current conditions so that the premises had the right safety throughout the construction period.”

Stellan Johansson — Zenita AB

About Walter Borg
Walter Borg AB Jakt och Fritid was started by Walter Borg in 1924 and is now run by the fourth generation. Walter Borg was born in Stockholm in 1888 and after trade studies he started in 1905 in the sports and arms business. The store sells weapons, ammunition, hunting clothes, hunting accessories, etc. The gunsmiths are responsible for the conversion and repair of various weapons. Walter Borg also arranges Hunter Exams and arms auctions.

Rules applicable to the installation of alarm systems for weapons storage
When it comes to the installation of alarm systems for weapons storage, there are special rules that apply in addition to those imposed on the construction company that carries out the installation itself and the requirements that apply according to the standards of the SBSC. An alarm installation in a gun bunker, gun cabinet or caisson must be carried out in accordance with the National Police Board's regulations and general advice on the storage of firearms by arms dealers and certain associations (RPFSF 2005:4 FAP 556-2). This means, for example, that the installation certificate must not be issued in alarm class 3 according to SSF 130:8 but in SSF 130:6. The requirements regarding the scope and performance of alarm installations in vaults or cabinets (weapon storage space) are significantly higher than those set for alarm class 3 according to SSF 130.

We have several alarm installations made when storing weapons and ammunition
Since Zenita has been involved since the regulations of the National Police Board came into force and has an ongoing dialogue with the authors of the regulations and has installed a larger number of alarm systems for storing firearms around the country, we can say without exaggeration that we have extensive experience with this type of installation and have what is required for the Police to approve the installation. Zenita is a Certified Civil Engineering Company - burglar alarms up to alarm class 4 according to SSF 1015.
