Ports of Stockholm
Zenita Security is responsible for parts of the operation, development and maintenance of digital and mechanical security systems for the Ports of Stockholm, whose operations in Stockholm, Kapellskär and Nynäshamn constitute the largest passenger port and the third largest cargo port in Sweden. All in all, this is a very large security facility, which makes Zenita's mission very demanding in terms of knowledge, technology and service.
The contract covers security equipment in offices, technical areas, passenger terminals and logistics areas with large freight flows. Zenita Security constantly has employees on site and it is a dedicated team that is responsible for keeping the security system in top condition. Both project managers and technicians are experienced and together have broad knowledge in lock security and IT.
“Zenita Security is an important supplier that is of great importance in our everyday lives. The business is very intense and changing. If security systems fail, our flows will be affected, both passenger traffic, freight handling and other logistics,” says Hans Kemkes, head of security at the Ports of Stockholm. We place high demands on quality and workmanship and have a continuous dialogue with Zenita regarding design and follow-up. Both parties are working hard to continuously develop the cooperation.
Zenita Security's CEO, Lars Lundgren, says that the company has managed to solve a large part of the security technical challenges of the Port of Stockholm. At the same time, the company has developed the ability to work together with large and demanding customers. Lars notes that the choice of technology and maintenance are crucial for the reliability of the systems. He also stresses the importance of careful planning and follow-up to maintain the right level of security.
“As an example, we photo-document, with the customer's approval, inside all technical installations to really ensure the quality. To increase transparency, we also have a case management system where the customer can report cases and get direct feedback on the actions performed. This allows errors and deficiencies to be documented, identified and remedied in a systematic way, which in turn contributes positively to the high quality and reliability of the plants.
